Man and Moon

By Siena Marilyn Ledger

In an oncology unit waiting room over games of Go Fish, a transgender man, Aaron, and a young girl, Luna, share with each other their dreams and fears, their humor, and their heart. In this new work, Chicago playwright Siena Ledger takes us on a journey through the solar system without even leaving the theatre. With spot on dialogue and smart characterization, Ledger helps us all grapple with our place within it all.

Earth is nice... but it's no 55 Cancri e

Earth’s surface is primarily granite and water. Pretty nice if you’re looking for a planet conducive to carbon-based life. Earth does look kind of dull in comparison to 55 Cancri e though, whose surface is likely made up of graphite and diamond. It’ll be a while until you can buy a ring with Cancri diamonds though, as it’s 40 light-years away and the surface temperature is a warm 3,900 degrees Fahrenheit… and that’s not to mention the lakes of lava!
